The primary purpose of dry brushing is to exfoliate the skin. The process of gently brushing the skin's surface with a natural bristle brush helps remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and stimulate cell turnover. This natural exfoliation leaves your skin feeling smoother, softer, and noticeably more radiant. By regularly sloughing away dead skin cells, dry brushing can help prevent a buildup of debris that can lead to acne and other skin concerns. Directions: Use dry brush before showering. Always use light strokes with gentle pressure. The point is not to scrub off your skin – it’s simply to gently slough off buildup. Brush in upward motion. It might feel a bit harsh to begin with but will become more comfortable as you continue. Avoid using over bruises, cuts, or rashes. Best to start at your feet and move up. Brush in one area for thirty seconds and move up to the next.
We advise that you use two different dry brushes when using for your both your face and body.
A daily facial dry brushing ritual has many benefits:
- Unclogged pores: Exfoliation removes dead skin cells that can clog pores and lead to whiteheads and blackheads. Prevents acne: Exfoliation helps prevent breakouts by clearing out dirt and removing dead skin cells that can trap oil under the skin. Buff away buildup, blackheads and milia.
- Even skin tone: Exfoliation removes dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull and uneven. This reveals brighter, more even skin underneath.
- Gently nudge along cell turnover to decrease discoloration and brighten your complexion
- Refine skin texture to receive topical products more readily and effectively
- Improved skin texture: Exfoliation improves skin texture directly, and also indirectly by allowing topical treatments to penetrate the skin more effectively. Better absorption of skincare products: Exfoliation increases the absorption of skincare products by up to 70%.
- Reduces wrinkles and fine lines: Exfoliation can help reduce wrinkles and fine lines (better absorption of skin care products = better results).
