Kim's quick self-tanning tips with Flawless:
. Take a shower first, Apply on clean skin. Do not apply lotion.
. Pump the spray into your Ultimate Tanning Mitt. Glides on easily!
. Don't be shy with the amount you pump into your mitt. I generally pump 8-10X each time I pump. I prefer to get a quick, deep tan by going heavy. I typically self-tan two days in a row and then wait about a week before I apply another application. (Fewer pumps if you want a light tan.)
What about the hands!?
Okay, this one is important. If you do this wrong, you will not be happy. Go very light application on the hands. I personally apply on my hands at night before bed (Lots of hand washing in our day!). If you own the Bronzy Babe Duo brush, use the firm (hair) end of the brush to apply lightly. Works very well for a perfect (light) hand application. A little goes a long way when it comes to your hands. Otherwise, apply super light application on hands with your tanning mitt. When the color sets in for a bit, I apply a little bit of Neck Firming & Hydration Crème over the top (just a tiny amount goes a long ways). Obviously, you can use a good hand lotion, but I actually do put the Neck Crème on my hands each night to give them a super deep treatment each night. Don't have the Bronzy Babe Duo Brush? What about the face? I personally do not like to put self-tanner my face. But, with that said, many love it! My Mother, as well as many others use Flawless instead of foundation. I use the bronzer to match my face to my tanned body. It is a personal preference. The bronzy babe bronzer applies so easily and is the perfect match! I have used the bronzer powder for many years. What about my clothes? Will it get on my clothes? If you sweat a lot, some of the color guide may show up on your clothes or sheets. Usually not much, but it really depends on how much you sweat. However, don't freak out! It washes out.
Is Flawless waterproof? See previous answer. The color guide is NOT waterproof. However, after 4-6 hours you can wash off the color guide (if you choose to) and your new tan will be waterproof. The color guide shows where it goes to help you apply and give you instant gratification, however, the tan will be set in and will dissipate slowly throughout the week.
Is there SPF in Flawless? No. I highly recommend that you apply Flawless before bed if planning to be in the sun the following day so that you can generously apply your SPF. Or, I have applied Flawless in the morning and let the tanning actives do their job (four hours) before going out into the sun and applying SPF.
Customer (happy and long-term user of Flawless) suggestion: After applying Flawless, take a lightly damp Q-tip over brown spots to wipe off any self-tanner. Your color and tan will blend better with less self-tanner over the brown spots.
What about white "age spots"? Flawless does a very nice job of camouflaging the white (age) spots.
