Battle of the Neck wrinkles.

Posted by Kim Marie Ross on Jan 27th 2023

At age 58, I am realizing that in all my efforts of anti-aging, the neck might be the biggest challenge yet.

The skin on our neck tends to be one of the first body parts to show signs of aging, because it is thinner and more delicate than the skin on the rest of our body.

As we age, the neck starts to become crepey, dry and wrinkled looking due to loss of collagen and elasticity to our skin.

Now stay with me here, I am going to share the number one most destructive thing that you might be doing to ramp up that process. But take heart, you can reverse that to a great degree.

The great news is that there are KEY things you do to be proactive in keeping and maintaining a more youthful neck.

Let’s begin with this: Think about all the years you put the best product on your face, skipping the neck. We often take the time to nourish our face with the best products, but then forget about the neck and décolleté.

Then one day you wake up, look in the mirror and panic.

There is hope! Using good product on your neck is going to help give it an overall healthier, more youthful, and supple appearance. And, you don’t have to spend $50 or $100 on a neck crème to get results.

I highly recommend Neck Firming and Hydration Crème. It is full of natural botanicals and high antioxidant ingredients without the chemicals and at an unheard-of price. Less than $20.

It is Manufactured right here in the USA, not China or some other foreign country. A USA manufacturer that brings its products to hospitals and clinics all over the world. So, you know it is pure and clean.

I have been using for months and gave up my face crème and eye cream and now use it from my face on down to my decollate. I could not be happier with it.

And check out Constance’s neck. She recently shared that after just one month, a rash she had for three months went away and a deep line is starting to soften up.

We are not born to look twenty, thirty or forty our entire life, and we are going to naturally lose collagen no matter how much we battle it, but the #1 thing you can do to slow down the signs of aging on your neck, chest & face. SPF! The UV rays of the sun are causing massive destruction in the elasticity and collagen fibers of your face and neck.

When you keep zapping your neck, chest and face with the sun, your collagen is being zapped right out of your face and neck. And that is the very thing that keeps it plumped up. So, you lose your collagen. Hence, excess skin = wrinkles. You face and neck are no longer naturally plumped up!

And, just a few other examples of what sun exposure does to your skin over time: Dark spots, leathery-looking skin and worst of all skin cancer.

What else is doing battle against your skin?

  • Smoking and drinking alcohol depletes the skin of antioxidants that fight off free radical damage to our skin. Avoid at all costs.
  • Sugar loves to destroy collagen.  Skin is composed of collagen and elastin, which makes our skin supple and soft. Sugar causes cross-linking of collagen, resulting in stiffening and elasticity of skin.
  • Alcohol: Unfortunately, this one is a big no, no for skin and hair. Alcohol depletes your body's vitamin levels. Fewer vitamins means less collagen.

Habits are tough to break but give it two weeks and you will form new ‘good’ habits for your skin and overall health.

What else can we do to promote and maintain a more healthy, youthful neck?

  • Exfoliate regularly to get rid of the dead skin cells. This will give your face and neck an overall, healthier, more refreshed, and hydrated look.
  • Exercise the muscles of your neck. Check with your personal health care provider first before beginning any new exercise program.

We can see significant changes to our neck if you simply do a few simple things.

To our healthiest and most youthful self,
